James has been engaged in legal practice since 1971 and is accredited as a business law specialist by the Law Institute of Victoria.

His main areas of practice are business law generally including mergers and acquisitions, corporations law and practice, commercial litigation, commercial property, retail leasing and dispute resolution.

He is a mediator on the LEADER mediation panel and on the Small Business Commissioner panel.

He is extremely dedicated to his work and his commitment to his clients is borne out by the longevity of their relationships established by early and full dialogue about their concerns and their business objectives.

James is very accessible and responsive. He provides a high level of service and expertise and is well regarded for his professional and practical advice.

He has been a member of the Courts Practice Committee of the Litigation Lawyers Section of the Law Institute of Victoria and he is now a member of the Environmental Planning Liquor Sports Committee of the Law Institute.

His interest in Sport includes soccer where he was a popular and skillful soccer player and served as Chairman of the Australian National Soccer League Tribunal for over twenty years.
